Healthy, active communities where adults and children are living active lifestyles benefit everyone. The community of Alamosa built the recreation center to help realize these benefits.
The 28,000 sq. ft. recreation center contains a 9,500 sq. ft. gymnasium with fexible space. Included is a 1/14 mile 3-lane walking and joggging track. The multipurpose room is 4,700 sq. ft. with a sport-floor. This room is adaptable for basketball, volleyball, aerobics, wrestling and roller hockey. The cardiovascular room has exercise equipment including cycles and treadmills. Additionally, there is a childcare room for families who are using the facilitiy.
